📝 IAR Testing Announcement – 3rd Grade
3rd grade students at Herrin Elementary School will be participating in IAR (Illinois Assessment of Readiness) testing the week of March 30-April 2.
Please help your child be prepared by ensuring they:
Get a good night’s sleep
Eat a healthy breakfast
Arrive at school on time (8:00 AM)
Encourage them to do their best and take their time. We are proud of our students and know they will work hard to show what they’ve learned! 💙

Tomorrow, March 25th is Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day. We wear green to show support, promote inclusion, and raise awareness for individuals living with cerebral palsy. Together we can spread kindness, understanding, and acceptance!! #WearGreen💚

Herrin Elementary School will have a 2:00 PM dismissal on Monday, March 23rd.
Please plan accordingly for student pick-up and transportation needs. Be sure to contact your child’s daycare as well as the school office if there are any transportation changes.

Yesterday was a great day at the park celebrating our students who met or exceeded state standards, as well as those who showed improvement on last year’s IAR testing! The sun was shining and fun was had by all. We are proud of our students and their hard work!
