π’ Exciting News, Herrin Elementary Families! π The countdown is on! ποΈ The last day of school for Herrin Elementary will be Friday, May 23, 2025! π Letβs make these final days memorable as we celebrate another fantastic year of learning, growth, and fun! πβ¨ #HerrinElementary #LastDayOfSchool #SummerCountdown πβοΈ*The last day of school is a regular dismissal day.

HES & the Herrin Fire Department just wrapped up another successful S.A.F.E. class, ending with an exciting visit to the fire station for hands-on demonstrations!
S.A.F.E. (Students and Firefighters in Education) is the 8-week fire prevention program for 3rd graders, taught by members of the HFD. Throughout the program, students learn valuable fire safety lessons in the classroom, and to celebrate their hard work, HFD treat them to a pizza party followed by a visit to the new station.
This yearβs live demos included Hazardous Materials, Technical Rescue (Rope/High Angle), a Station Tour, Fire Extinguisher training, and a Vehicle Extrication.
They even got a few of the teachers to join in on the fun! THANK YOU SO MUCH HFD!!!!!
