Good Morning HHS Families. Wednesday, 2.19.25, has been declared an e-Learning day. The first thing students need to do is email their advisory teacher to check in before 11 a.m. Students are expected to complete work for each of their classes. Teachers have put assignments in Google Classroom or Rooms. All instruction will be asynchronous (students and teachers will not meet together live in Google Meet or Zoom). If there are any questions, please have your student email their teacher(s) or high school administration. Teachers will be available from 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Stay warm and safe!

Attention Seniors! The Class of 2025 Order Deadline has been extended to Sunday, January 19th. After this time, there will be a Late Fee on Caps & Gowns and some items will no longer be available for ordering. If you have not yet ordered, please see below.

All instruction will be asynchronous (students and teachers will not meet together live in Google Meet or Zoom). If there are any questions, please have your student email their teacher(s). Teachers will be available from 8:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. If students don’t know their class schedule, they can log into PowerSchool by using the following instructions:

2. Sign-in using your username and password.

The HHS School counselors are excited to celebrate College Knowledge Month. This month is dedicated to exploring and learning more about college. Our definition of college includes: 2-year, 4-year, and any technical programs that provide a transferable credential.
Mrs. Sabens & Mrs. Shelton, in partnership with College Readiness Consortium, challenge all students to learn and engage in the activities around college readiness. All the details are posted in each ‘Class of’ Google Classroom. Students should see their school counselor if they have questions.
We're building bright futures with the help of Southern Illinois Builders' Association! Herrin High School Principal Jeff Johnson and CTE (Woods & Construction Trades) instructor David Jordan were recently presented with a generous grant from SIBA. A special "thank you" is extended to former CTE instructor Dalton James for his instrumental part in the application process. This grant aims to support HHS in motivating students to consider careers in construction. Thank you, SIBA, for partnering with us in this endeavor!
