Herrin CUSD #4 wishes everyone a joyful start to 2026! Enjoy the last few days of break! Students return on Tuesday, January 6th.

Important FSCS Update from Herrin CUSD #4
The federal Full Service Community Schools (FSCS) grant, which has supported students, families, and staff across our district, is set to be rescinded on December 31, 2025. We need your voice to help reinstate this vital funding.

🎄 2nd Grade Christmas Tree Farm:
The 2nd grade hallway was packed with little lumberjacks as students proudly tried to sell their handmade Christmas trees to family members. Safe to say, they sold out quick — the lot’s officially empty!
🎩 4th Grade Wax Museum:
Meanwhile, our 4th graders transformed into well-known historical and modern figures. With the press of a “button,” these wax figures came to life, sharing all about their lives and accomplishments.
A huge thank you to our families for supporting our students on these special learning days. We couldn't do it without you!

Just a few more days until Christmas Break begins. From all of us at Herrin CUSD #4, we wish you a joyful and relaxing holiday season. We can’t wait to welcome you back refreshed and ready for the new semester!

Our HHS & HJHS Chorus students spent some time this week visiting local nursing homes and assisted livings, sharing music and holiday cheer! 💚❤️

Our 5th grade chorus, band, and ukulele students brought the holiday spirit to life today! What a fantastic performance! 👏 We’re so proud of our talented students.
